Almond Tree Villa is situated in one of the most peaceful and warmest regions of Spain, and ideally positioned for touring around the region. Lorca our largest town has notable architecture including churches and ancestral homes from the C16 onwards. Velez Blanco with its unique rennaisance castle and nearby Sierra Maria-Los Velez Natural Park are well worth a visit. Aguilas and the beaches are just 45 mins away. Almond Tree Villa is nestled in the hills just 5km from the A91-92 Autovia linking Murcia with Granada and Malaga. Puerto Lumbreras, our nearest town, is just 12km away.
Our spacious, purpose built guesthouse has three luxurious, modern en-suite rooms for guests (see photo gallery) and a grand two storey guest lounge leading out onto our pool terrace. Wifi 3G internet access is available. The 10x5m (clothing optional) pool is surrounded by extensive terracing, landscaped gardens and amazing panoramic views of almond and olive groves. Our backdrop is the Cabezo Jara peak (our banner is our view)! You can use our ’honesty’ bar to help yourself to drinks; lunch time snacks and evening meals are available most days of the week, including Martyn’s famous paella! Martyn our chef has extensive experience and has cooked for stars like George C Scott and Joan Collins; royalty - Princess Anne; sports personalities - Ian Botham and Terry Veneables; current politicians like William Hague and has been mentioned in the Egon Ronay Guide. We also cater for vegetarians.
