Là, nous fumes reçus cordialement, chaleureusement, joyeusement et gaiement dans une superbe maison, dans un cadre magnifique où seuls les aigles pouvaient nous surveiller. La cuisine de Martyn et la jovialité d’Alastair ont rendu vraiment ce séjour inoubliable. Perdus au milieu de l’espace et du temps, que du bonheur! Tout ici est différent. L’accueil, les conversations, les livres, et même les DVD. Une autre vie à partager avec des hôtes sympathiques et très bienveillants! A recommander pour vos séjours à venir. Little did we expect such cuisine, extraordinary views, great wine, hospitality and ultimate relaxation. You both opened your home and your hearts to us for an experience we have never found before. "The 4 mature ladies" Elaine, Karen, Margaret & Frances xx Having found myself at the last minute travelling on my own, Martyn and Alastair quickly recognised this, and stepped in and included me in their own socialising, including dinner with local neighbours. What great hosts! Thank you both for your thoughtfulness and friendship. Rob October 2008 Never expected our stay at Almond Tree Villa to be so amazing! The designer house on top of a "mountain" is wonderful, but come in Spring. The weather was a bit chilly in December but the warm hospitality of Martyn and Alastair made up for it! We had a wonderful time! Debbie and Lucie November/December 2008 This beautiful orange villa is run by Alastair and Martyn and sits in the most amazing countryside which, in early February was enhanced by groves of almond blossom. We had a long walk accompanied only by the sound of singing larks and foraging partridge and the smell of wild rosemary and time. In the evening we shared a superb dinner, cooked by Martyn in their lovely salon which was topped off with a sticky toffee pudding to die for! It was a beautiful place to spend our last evening in Spain. Until next time! Coming up to the hills of southern Murcia and staying with two open-minded and open-hearted hosts was just a perfect way of doing so. When you are sitting here on top of the hill you forget about "the crisis" - and just focus on the things that really matter: the beloved ones, a place to call home in a pefect location and 13 litres of home grown olive oil to keep you up and healthy. This visit, albeit short was a birthday treat to myself, before returning to Scotland. Today Alastair and Martyn introduced me to Mojacar, less than an hour away and I was surprised to find a delightful low key tourist resort, the old pueblo on the hill above was particularly fascinating. It may be some time before my fourth visit, bit I am sure I will be back. Ronnie / 22nd June 2009 What a lovely surprise at the end of the track! El lugar precioso, apartado de la ciudad y realmente lindo..... Steve & Kylie xx 29th May / Melbourne, Australia Following a 2 week tour of Andalucian cities we stopped for 2 nights with Alastair & Martyn. A very warm welcome from our hosts started a short stay filled with entertainment, excellent vegetarian meals (by Martyn), tranquil surroundings and genuine consideration for all our needs. It was the ultimate ’chill-out’ place before continuing our long journey through France and Italy. Great walks on the surrounding hills (with help at hand if you lose your bearings).
